Welcome to Downtown Bainbridge Development Authority

Downtown Bainbridge is proud of its history and heritage and has built a reputation on making southern hospitality a way of life.  In the heart of Downtown Bainbridge is Willis Park, a charming garden style park complete with a Victorian gazebo and fountain where the community gathers for entertainment and relaxation throughout the year.

Visit our antique stores, eateries, gift shops, specialty shops and you will be sold on Bainbridge. Downtown Bainbridge is also home to the Firehouse Gallery, Decatur County Genealogical Society, Bainbridge Little TheatreCity and County government agencies, professional services, the post office, the Post Searchlight and several banks.

Our mission is to stimulate revitalization of downtown Bainbridge through initiatives that enhance business growth, strengthen arts and culture, promote residential development, and preserve downtown’s unique inventory of historic properties.  Recognizing that our broad range of architectural styles is a major asset for downtown Bainbridge, the Downtown Development Authority seeks to support creative ventures and adaptive redevelopment efforts that enhance public awareness and utilization of this inventory.  Click the “Discover Bainbridge” image (left) to explore more about Bainbridge & Decatur County.
